I’m here to share the news of a significant development aimed at supporting our military service members. SF0119, “Expedited professional licensure for military members,” expedites the issuance of professional and occupational licenses to military service members or military spouses, allowing the applicant to now register for or renew the license now online, which aims to reduce unnecessary paperwork and streamline the application process. No fees will be applied to the application for temporary permits as well.
On each renewal or application, a professional or occupational licensing board must inquire and manage a record of if the applicant is either a military service member or spouse. If proper identification and proof is provided, the board then must immediately begin the process of issuing a temporary permit or license within 30 days of receiving the application. This allows the military member or spouse to now lawfully practice an occupation or profession that requires licensure. They may practice for three years under temporary permit and may not surmount the given time in which the military member or spouse should be in the process of meeting all requirements needed or awaiting the verification or denial of either professional or occupational licensure.
The work done within SF0119 reflects our commitment to honoring and supporting our military personnel as they transition into civilian life.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement!

Information On the Lay Light
Shining 54 feet above the rotunda floor is a beautifully crafted stained-glass lay light that measures 30 feet in diameter, consisting of 32 different panels, each imported from England. Surrounding the lay light frame, the arched walls are decorated in an “arabesque” pattern. Arabesque refers to a decorative style that features intricate patterns of intertwining lines and flowing, curvilinear designs. This pattern, like many of this particular decorative style, contains interlacing and scrolling floral patterns, with an inclusion of foliage and facial features. This design creates an optical illusion of depth and aspects of three dimensionality referred to as trompe lœil, which is French for “fool the eye”.
